Chapters 21-39: Alternatives

Did Edna have any good alternatives, rather than taking the action that she took at the end of the book? If so, what were they? If not, why was her action her best alternative?

If Edna hadn't killed herself in the end of the book, she could have option of face her problems and move on.The choices she made were what put her situation to find that kill herself was the best option, but even that her choices were the wrong one, she should face the consequences and not be so selfish with her child's and family!-Mariana
